I have had dogs my whole life.  In 2005 we trained our dogs Buffy and Angel to be Therapy Dogs.  Buffy and Angel would go with us to visit schools, hospitals and nursing homes.  That was really my first time with "working dogs".  Buffy and Angel were both from a rescue but were friendly and outgoing.  Our first real training experience was with a big box store and their weekly puppy class.  As therapy dogs one of the most important traits is the dog likes to be around people and interact and they both excelled.  After that the dogs need good manners and basic obedience.  Buffy and Angel lived to be 15 and 14 and honestly it is never long enough.  In 2020 we moved our family from Indiana to Southern California and I was diagnosed with a disability that benefitted from a Task Trained Service Dog.  My service task is relatively simple to teach the dogs but the rest of the time is spent on basic obedience, advanced obedience and public access work.  Currently we have 3 dogs, Jade our 8 year old St. Bernard, Neo a 4 year old German Shepherd Mix and our newest German Shepherd Loki who will be 2 years old this July.  I have taken my years of "on the job" training to develop my balanced training style.   Currently I train Loki and work with some other great trainers to teach us about explosive detection and Dog Protection sports.  We plan to pursue titles in PSA, and K9 Street League as a working line German Shepherd he really is like a Swiss Army knife.

We pride ourselves on being friendly, responsive and tailoring my training style to the individual personality of the dog in front of us.  Sometimes a method that works for one dog won't work the same for the next so I consider myself a lifetime student and attend different trainings and seminars in order to sharpen my skills and stay up to date on the latest advances in anything dogs.  Please don't hesitate to reach out and see how we can help you meet your training goals.
